Arriving at our spa and wellness center in Medellín feels like finding an oasis in the middle of the city’s hustle and bustle. After years in this business, we’ve learned that every person comes with a different story — some arrive stressed from work, others with muscle pain, or simply seeking a moment to breathe. That’s why we designed every corner of our center with that inner need for peace in mind.
What I love most about our spa is the variety of experiences we can offer. We have couples who come religiously every month for their massages together — it’s beautiful to see how they reconnect during those moments. Our hot stone therapies are especially popular when the cool weather arrives in Medellín; the warmth of volcanic basalt combined with our special oils creates a feeling our clients often describe as “melting into relaxation.”

When we decided to include Thai massages in our center, we knew we couldn’t do it halfway. We sent two of our therapists to train directly in Thailand because we understood that this ancient technique can’t be learned just through videos or quick courses. Authentic Thai massage is like a dance — each movement flows naturally into the next — and that harmony only happens when you truly understand the philosophy behind every stretch.
What surprises our clients the most is the difference between a traditional massage and a Thai session. We work on comfortable mats on the floor, which allows us to use body weight in a completely different way. The sports massage became part of our center because several of our regular clients were also athletes, and we realized their needs were very specific. It’s not the same to work with someone seeking relaxation as it is with a cyclist who just climbed La Línea or a soccer player with a match coming up that weekend. Each sport requires understanding which muscles are most engaged, where tension builds up, and how to assist in recovery.
One of our specialties is the four-hand massage for athletes, especially before major competitions. Watching two therapists work in perfect sync is like witnessing a choreography, but for the athlete, the result is unmatched muscle preparation that a single therapist simply couldn’t achieve. We’ve also incorporated sports cupping therapy — at first, people were curious about the marks it leaves, but the results in circulation and inflammation reduction speak for themselves.
What I love most about working with athletes is their honesty — they immediately feel whether the massage is effective or not. We have clients from local soccer teams, runners who train at the stadium, and even CrossFit athletes who come to us because they know we understand the demands of their training. Every session is different depending on whether they come before or after a workout, and that adaptability is what truly sets sports massage apart in Medellín.

One of the things we’re most proud of is when other therapists come to us to learn the techniques we’ve perfected over so many years in Medellín. We’re not a formal school in the traditional sense, but we do share our knowledge with colleagues who want to improve their practice. It’s amazing how many young therapists come eager to learn — especially techniques like prenatal massage, which require great delicacy and very specific knowledge.
What we do is open our doors so other professionals can watch us work live. For example, when we apply cupping or perform lymphatic drainage, we explain every movement — why we do it that way and how to read the signals the body gives us. Sometimes we organize small sessions where we demonstrate techniques like reflexology or chiromassage, always from hands-on experience rather than theory.
We’ve noticed that many therapists in Medellín learn the theory but lack that real connection with the client — that ability to feel where the tension truly lies. It’s something that develops over years of practice, and we try to pass on that sensitivity. Several professionals who have attended our demonstrations now work in well-known spas around the city, and whenever we run into them, they always thank us for showing them that massage goes far beyond simply following a mechanical routine.
